How do I poll the controller to reply with a string of its serial number?

I have an automated calibration process that generates a calibration certificate.  I have many FP-2000 with many RTD cards and need labview to inport a string of the serial number of the controller in which that certain RTD was calibrated.  I read somthing about using a property node yet I was unsuccessful. Help. Thanks.

There is a function Get Target Info (IP).vi that will return info about a FieldPoint controller.  It is part of the RT System Replication toolkit. 

On my 8.5.1 system it appears on the palette under 7.x Functions -> User Libraries -> RT System Replication.
