Hi,
my version of LabVIEW is 6.0 so I can't open your file.
But I can suppose that you use spreadsheet file as input DAT file. If so then you can use "Functions->File I/O->Read from Spreadsheet file.vi" to read data from your Dat file into 2D numeric array.
Then you can use functions from "Functions->File I/O->Binary file VIs" palette. There are "Write to I16/SGL file.vis" which can write 2D numeric VIs into binary file of integer or single-precision numbers.

Good luck.

oleg Chutko.

Are you asking how to encrypt your password file. I found this posting on that subject.

Well, I'm certainly confused now. You first asked how to convert a DAT file to binary. That didn't make too much sense since a DAT file is a binary file, so what's to convert? Dennis then asked if you're asking how to encrypt your password file, to which you said yes, that's what you're trying to do. So... what is it that you're needing to do? Convert to binary or encrypt?

You can search the examples that ship with LabVIEW on reading/writing binary files. From the "Help" menu select "Find Examples" and then search for "binary".

No, you're right. I just have my screen resolution set too high, and I probably need glasses. Smiley Very Happy

Actually, now that I think about it I can't figure out how I got to this posting in the first place. Weird, as it would not show up in my normal view of the boards. Which I why I didn't see the date on it. Now I'm even more confused.
