for example, if i want s^2 +3s +4 do I enter 1 3 4 or do i enter 4 3 1???

Which VI are your using? I found the "Transfer Function" VI but it doesn't really look like that kind of transfer function.

You would enter 4 3 1
It starts with the 0th order term and works up.
