How do you get LabView8.0 to interface with the device?

I am a computer engineering student and have been working with the proprietary version of LabView8.0 in our labs on campus. I have not used LabView in the past and have been assigned a senior project using LabView. I was trying to interface a DSP board, Speedy-33, with the computers in the lab on campus and could not get LabView to recognize the device. I then realized that the computer's drivers were not installed properly, so I contacted the system administrator. After the system administrator installed the drivers, LabView would still not recognize the device. I was wondering if anyone could help?
I am using the Speedy-33 via a USB connection, with Windows XP Pro SP2. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello TheManTE85,

I assume you are using the LabVIEW DSP Module 2.0 with LabVIEW 8.0. Did you install this module along with the Speedy-33 drivers? There are two documents I can refer you to that provide step-by-step instructions for setting up your system:

NI SPEEDY-33 Installation Guide (starting on page 2, 4)

Note that in both documents you must be logged in as an administrator: when you install the drivers/software and when you plug in the SPEEDY-33.

If the above procedure do not help, do you receive an error message at any point? I hope this helps!
Charlie S.
