How do you get an indicator array to output a DBL function?

I am learning the program and I have a newer version than what my tutorial is setup for. I am expected to in this tutorial to set-up an array to display a numerical answer to go with the output graph. However the the data type accepted by the array doesn't say "DBL" it is merely a blank black square bracket as such
"[ ]" If this has no real importance than I don't beleive I need it for an output unless I was trying to get the program to take a reading from the graph.

Drop a numeric indicator or control (depending what you want) into the array control you have created, and then right clicking on the inside control, you can select the type of representation. Other easy way is in the block diagram, right click on the output of your function and select create indicator, this will automatically create an array of the type you need.
Hope this helps

After you create the array at the front panel, you need to create a digital indicator (if you want to display data only), drag and drop that indicator to inside the array blank space.
A better way to do that is by going to the block diagram, right click on the data you want to display, select create, and select indicator. This procedure will create automatically an indicator at you front panel, already matching the data type of that data.
