How does myRIO transmit to a transmitter that broadcasts on 5.8gHZ?

Hello, I have a project and I want to use LabView but I can't answer some questions. One of them is, How is myRIO transmitting to a transmitter that broadcasts on the 5.8 gHZ channel?.

Have you configured your myRIO to use Wireless connections?  Does MAX "see it" and show it with an IP address?  I'm not an expert on how WiFi establishes connections, but I have the sense that you "choose" the connection you want (in your case, it would be a connection that identifies itself as a 5GHz connection), and then the router and the device "negotiate" to agree on a Channel to use.

I can tell you that I have a myRIO currently connected to my home WiFi's 5GHz network.  I don't have any idea which exact channel it is using (and don't really care, as long as MAX and my Laptop can "see" it).
