So I have a set of data that roughly takes the shape of a decaying exponential. Running LabView 8.5, I can pull off coefficient and damping numbers, as well as the residual. However, what I'd really like to do is find out the residual attributed to just the damping, as I'd like to assign error bars to it, as an indication of the goodness of the fit, and to be all scientificy. Anyone have thoughts?
