How to cast Picture to Image

Hello,

I just wonder, wether it is possible to convert a picture - type to an image -type, and if so, how to achieve this conversion.

Could you be a bit more specific?
 
Have a look at the "Picture format" palette, it lets you read and write BPM, JPG and PNG images, flatten/unflatten pixmaps, etc.
