How to communicate with Siemens CP340

Hi all,

 I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 in college and I'm starting my college project. I need to communicate with a Siemens s7-300 plc with a CP340 card. I am thinking of using the DSC module, shared variables & OPC server to manipulate I/O in the PLC and to read values from it. Am I going in the right direction? And help is appreciated.

Hello!

Theoretically, the combination you have suggested should work fine. Just remember there is ethernet involved so and watch out for firewalls.

I've used DSC, shared variables and OPC server with other PLCs and they have worked like a charm!
