How to connect 4-wire strain gage to NI 9219

Hello!

I know how to connect a 2-wire strain gage and have been told that the 3-wire strain gage is identical to how you would connect a 3-wire RTD. However, can the same be said about a 4-wire strain gage? Would it differ from a 4-wire RTD? For reference, I plan to use a 1/4 bridge mode to measure linear strain, but I'm open to suggestions.

Thank you!

If you search the Forums (or the Web) for "Strain Measurements with NI-9219", you might find helpful information.  [I'm not a mechanical engineer, so I'm not familiar with this topic, myself].

In MAX you can get wiring help from the card's rightclick menu for many cases.

Do you have the datasheet of the strain gage?
