How to convert a voltage reading from a microphone to a frequency

I have a CMB-6544PF electret condenser microphone hooked up to a NI USB_6008 DAQ. I am then reading in a voltage into a lab view program in hopes to create a very simple guitar tuner. I don't know how to convert this voltage reading into a frequency reading to analyze when the frequency is where I want it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't convert a voltage to a frequency.

You need to take the frequency of the waveform of voltages you collect, and perform an FFT analysis on it.
