How to create a read-only excel with Report Generation Kit

Hello,

I have an excel using report reneration kit.

it writes data every minutes and close file.

When i open the excel between the writing period,  the file will be destoryed.

So, i want to make a excel that is read-only and it will not destory while open it in the middle writing period.

See to the file function option in the Open/Create/Replace File VI, if you re using this to open the Excel Report. There is an option called open(read only).

I m NOT familiar with Report Gen toolkit for Excel. So, I dont know if there is a seperate function to open the Excel report...

Hello,

The read-only setting is set to against the Microsoft Excel modify the report data during LV is running.
It only allow to view the Excel.
When LV is Stop, it can allow people to view and modify by Microsoft Excel.

HELLO!

While LV is running , I open other MS Office Prog. It got Error.
 I should close LV when I use other MS Office prog.

I'm using LV7.1, Win 2000, Office 2000. Report Generation Kit 1.0
