How to create a waveform file for the PXI-5421?

I am trying to create a very specific waveform for the PXI-5421 AWG. I have created the waveform using MatLab, and have a 62,000 value array. I tried copying this into a .LVM file, and I can get it to work only if I use the first few hundred data points. If I use all of them, I receive an error (Error -200221).

I read on the help that larger files had to use .BIN format. I have tried to use the two .BIN examples, but neither of them will load correctly into the FGEN software (Error -200221).

How can I create a very specific waveform that will load into the FGEN software? Thanks in advance.

SGO_cinele,

Welcome to the NI Discussion Forums, and congratulations on your first post.

In regards to your post, after reading over your description of the problem, I can't say for sure why you might be experiencing the problems that you are seeing. My first suggestion would be to try out one of LabVIEW shipping examples and verify that the shipping example works correctly. I would suggest opening up the "NiFgen Read From Binary File.vi" and testing to verify that it works properly (see the screenshot attached to this post if you need assistance finding the example). When you open the example, try running it with the .bin file that is selected by default, and after that, try running it with one of your .bin files. If you have trouble completing either of those, please make another post about what occurred, and also please attach the .bin file that is causing the problem.

Hopefully that will get you headed towards a resolution to this problem, as it will allow this forum to assist you in resolving the the issue.

Best of luck with your application.
