Thanks Dennis!  Well, I'm now merrily downloading the latest NI-DAQmx 9.4. onto my Win 7 laptop. It will take about 3 hours. Hopefully, it will solve the problem - I'll  post the results.

After downloading and installing DAQmx 9.4, PROBLEM SOLVED!
