I am starting my consulting business, I have been a contract test engineer for over 13 yrs and decided to branch out on my own. I would like to get the CLD/CLA so I can become an Alliance Partner. But I would also like to get the discount that comes with being an Alliance Partner. I am trying to reduce my first year expenses through every means possible, but I will invest the money to get a whole year of training from NI.

Your very first contact needs to be your local Sales Engineer. I don't know what your chances are of becoming an Alliance partner without years of LabVIEW experience.

According to the Website, all I need is a CLD or CLA certification, under 10 employees, and offer hourly consulting. I have over 13 yrs experience in LabWindows/CVI and custom test applications using NI hardware.
Let me ask you on terms do base my chances of becoming an Alliance partner, you obviously don't have any sales experience??

Dude,
Dennis and mostly everyone on this forum are Labview users just like you, trying to help each other (volunteers). As suggested, your first point of contact will be your local NI office, you wont find much sales support here.

I have already contacted NI, for someone's perspective on the whole process, someone who has been through the process. And its hard to tell in a post but I was just being a little sarcastic, I apologize if I offended anyone that wasn't my intent. A 1000 pardons

Just FYI,
I became an Alliance member around 1993-94.
