How to inccrease the sampling rate ...???? Beyond 1Mhz...???

I am using a simualte signal expess VI to generate a sine signal and i need its frequency to be 1Ghz.... but it does not go beyond 500Mhz as the sampling rate should be twice that of the frequency... and the maximum sampling rate achieved is 1Mhz (1000000)... How to increase the sampling rate... or by any other means so that i can get a frequency of 1Ghz for the sine signal so generated...??? Please help...

There is obviously no limit to what you can set the Simulate Signal to. It is just an array of numbers. So, you are not telling us something. Are you really trying to drive some actual hardware? If so what? If you have some actual hardware, it should also be obvious to you that you cannot make it work at a frequency it was not designed to support.

No... i am just working on a virtual function generator... that's why i need to have various frequency multipliers upto 1Ghz... how to achieve the required range of frequency...?

Just set the frequency and then set an appropriate samples/second. You aren't trying to use the default samples/second are you? Samples/second must be at least twice the frequency to comply with Nyquist.

that's what is the problem... when I configure the Simulate Signal express VI,,, the maximum sampling rate that i can assign is only upto 1000000 (i.e. 1Mhz) which can generate at the maximum the frequency of 500Khz... so what should i do to increase the sampling rate and hence the frequency to 1Ghz...???

You are doing something wrong but I have no idea what. You can enter any number you want. I just entered 1e11 for samples/sec and 1e9 for frequency.

Attach your VI.
