How to install labview 6.1 in a primary hard disk not named "C:"

I try to install Labview 6.1 F.D.S in a computer under W2K where the system disk is "E:". When the setup program start to copy the file (Part 1 of 27), an error appear "Error 1327. Invalid Drive: C:\". I have tried to change the letter of the disk but it is impossible because it is the boot disk.
Is it possible to do this style of installation or not ?
Best regards

After the liscence agreement there should be a destination folder.
This is where LabVIEW will be install just change it to where you
would like it installed.

Stephane,

Do you have a C drive? When 6.1 installs it most have a C drive. If you do not have a C drive an error is generated. What you need to do to fix it is do have a C drive, the easiest way is to change your floppy to be drive C, and then place a floppy disk in the drive.

After the install is complete you can then change the floppy back to A.

Here is a link that discusses the error in a slightly different instance, but has the directions for the fix.

Thanks Evan,
I don't have a C drive.
I will go to try your solution. But How you change the floppy letter to C. I can change it to B in the bios but not to C.

Here are the directions, in this case a CD-ROM
To reassign a drive letter in Windows 2000/NT/XP:
  1. Go to Start » Programs » Accessories » Computer Management OR go to Start » Search » For Files or Folders Type in Computer Management (Disk administrator for NT) and select Computer Management from the list.
  2. Click on Disk Management.
  3. Right-click where it says "CDRom 0" (This will be on the right-hand frame on the bottom in gray.)
  4. Choose Change Drive Letter and Path
  5. Click on Edit
  6. Change the drive to whatever drive letter it gave you in the error message. (In this case "C")

Thanks Evan,

I have try your solution, but it is impossible, NI installer want to write something in the C drive.

I go to find an other PC to put Labview in.

But I think NI have a problem with his installer in this point. Because all PC do'nt have a C drive.

Thanks for all

If you stick a floppy in the drive, generally it works fine. The installer can write what it wants, and then you can change the floppy drive back.
