How to make a custom control or dial rotate properly

I've always wished for the ability to have QT-like GUI power in LabVIEW but you have to admit that LabVIEW's forte is industrial and scientific.  The main users are not particularly concerned with fancy front panels and pretty controls.  They generally want to see their data presented in the rawest format that exposes the detail they need use it efficiently, and face it, LabVIEW does offer that.  So bottom line... you can hope but don't hold your breath.

And if you really need the fancy controls and indicators you can always learn some ActiveX.
