How to obtain position of the points from the edge of the shape using NI vision?

Dear all,

I have trouble obtainings the position of the data points from an image. I guess I should explain more here.

What I am trying to do is to anaylsis an image (let's say black and white binary bitmap). The image's background color is white and contains some black shapes objects. I want to be able to generates some points around the edges of those objects so that I can reconstruct the shape using the data points obtained.

If any of you can help me a little, I would appreciate it.
