How to open a VI writeen by labview8.5 using labview 7.1

  Now, I have wrote a programme by labview8.5 , and I  have to connect it with another programme written by labview7.1. But the programme written by labview7.1 has been compiled ,so labview 8.5 can't open it . What should I do for solving the problem.Thank you .

Your message doesn't match your subject.

Your subject says you have a VI written in LV 8.5 you want to open in 7.1.  What you need to do is down save it to LV 8.0, then open it there and downsave it to LV 7.1  If you don't have 8.0, then post the VI to the upconvert thread.

But your message says the program was written in LV 7.1, compiled (what exactly do you mean by that? as in it is now an .exe?) and want to open in LV 8.5.  Completely different animal.

Please give details on what you are trying to do.  No version of LV can open an .exe if that is what you are trying to do.
