NI-Vision was designed for image analysis and processing to meet the needs of industrial and scientific imaging applications. In these applications, framegrabber boards and Firewire cameras are commonly used to acquire images and video. Because these devices do not capture audio, and because audio information is rarely needed in a machine vision application, audio capability is not a supported feature of the NI-Vision AVI functions.
