How to read MAX configuration file programatically in LabVIEW?

Hi Partha

1) When saving FieldPoint Configuration file, it is saved as .iak file

2) If you have a .iak file then yes you can list the FieldPoint devices mentioned in the .iak file, but one thing in this case is that it will only show the devices that where there  when the .iak was saved & not the currently available fieldpoint devices on the network.

3) For detecting DAQ Devices, you can use DAQmx Propery Node, it will list down all the devices connected to the current controller in which you run the program to read the DAQmx devices.

About .nce : - let me check it !!

Thanks & Regards,
Rajan

Hi Rajan,

Have you done it programatically from LV? If so, can you share those VIs?

Hi Partha,

see this link please. At the end you will find a description where you can read all the installed devices. I tried it and you will find also the nonNI devices there. It´s only usable if you run windows there.

Hope it helps.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the link; but I cant open it because of my company's policy that it fals under shopping & merchandising category.

So, will it be possible for you to upload it in the form of pdf here?

Is it a program or tutorial or something else?
