How to read line by line from serial input?

I checked the hyperterminal and im only getting two lines. No logging data whatsoever.

I am seeing the \r\n though, neat! And I think it is working now. Seems to update just fine. Any ideas why? The only different thing is I went to the hypertermjnal and then closed that before restarting my labview program. Maybe that flusheda buffer or something?

Getting the buffer flushed could have been the issue.  Or maybe just closing down LabVIEW could have done it.  I've seen some weird things with serial ports, especially when not configured correctly.
