How to transfer LabVIEW program from win 98 to win XP

Hello All!

I use NI PCI-6024E in my laboratory of automated control and semiconductors tests. I use executable program based on LabVIEW 5.0. OS win 98.

The main problem is OS compatibility, because I want to transfer all laboratory routing from win 98 to win XP.

How can I do it?

Could anyone help me?

Have you tried it with the XP driver?

As you have noticed, LabVIEW 5.0 is not compatible with the XP OS. You will need at least 6.1, as described in the following resource: Windows Version Compatibility with LabVIEW

If you are able to access the code, you can open, resave and rebuild in newer versions of LabVIEW. You may also be interested in the note on that resource that explains that once you've upgraded to LabVIEW 6.0.2, you will have then have compatibility with future OSes.

If you have the code but not a newer version of LabVIEW, you may be interested in the forum where customers willingly upconvert for other members:  Upconvert VI Requests. This is usually just converting code, not rebuilding the executable, so you may still need access to a newer version of LabVIEW.

Thank you!

I installed LabVIEW 7.1, XP driver for NI PCI-6024E then installed executable program.

2 days before I used win XP and installed executable program and had errors "LabVIEW Load Error Code 21".

Now I don't have this errors but coding error occurred. Does the coding error connected with changing LabVIEW version or just windows error?

Anyway on Monday I will check everything with hardware.

The problem probably due to missing components that aren't included in the executable or versioning issues with components. It is discussed, along with solutions, here.
