How to unlock a VI program?

Hi,
I need to modify a LV program which was written by another guy (he already left). I found the 'show block diagram' is gray and the 'vi properties -> security' is 'locked (no password)'. But all the three options -- 'unlocked, locked, password-protected' are gray and I can't change.
Is it possible that I can show the block diagram? How did this guy save the LV program with 'show block diagram' gray and 'unlocked, locked, password-protected' gray too?
Thanks.

i think the VI was probably saved without the block diagram , if this is the case there isnt anything you do about it , except keep looking around for a backup copy somewhere...

good luck

File -> Save With Options Check Remove Diagrams ....

be VERY VERY careful if you do this as there is no getting the diagram back , even NI cant do it for you...
