I am using MP30B-CE model of Biopac system to acquire signals.I want to control other signals taken from sensors by labview. Is it possible to use MP30 hardware and take data using labview? I would be appreciated for your ideas Thank you |

Hi HIDIR,
Can you give more information about this MP30 hardware that you are trying to interface with LabVIEW? What kind of signals is it taking? What communication protocol does it use (GPIB, serial, Ethernet, etc.)?

Hi,
It is taking biological signals like EEG,EMG...MP30 is one of Biopac's product.
It is connected to computer via usb.
Biopac said that the BIOPAC Hardware API is not available for the MP30 and there is no way to interface the MP30 unit to 3rd party equipment in real-time.
How can I do that?
In biopac's site :"It is possible to use LabView® with the either the MP150, MP36* or MP35 hardware. The BIOPAC Hardware API gives software developers control over the BIOPAC acquisition unit - MP150 Ethernet/UDP protocol or MP35 USB. The hardware API includes several example programs specifically for LabView®. BHAPI will function, and has been tested, up to LabView v8.2"
Does labview have a solution for interfacing with MP30 or should I upgrade my unit to MP36?
Thank you for your interest.

Hi HIDIR,
I am not familiar with the BIOPAC hardware, but if the vendor has built an API for use with the MP150, MP36, and M35, these will be the only ones that will be supported with that API. If you wanted to use the MP30, you would have to reproduce the work of building the API, though I would recommend using compatible hardware if it is available.
