How to work with geometry with labview ?

Hello,

I would like to know how to create a simple 3D geometry (nodes and elements for example) into a vi,
and have the possibility to rotate it, to use it to identify sensor positions, and then to superimpose a
color display of some measurements results.

I did not found geometry tools in standard labview. Is there anything ?
Is there some plug-ins, additionnal modules, that manage geometry ?

Many thanks !

Regards,
Olivier

Although 3d party toolkits may exist, labview comes with the picture control which allows you to draw anything you can imagine. A great enhancement toolkit for the picture control is the free 3D toolkit available here

There is the 3d picture control add-on.  Also, NI showed some cool stuff at NI week using diadem to do what you are talking about.

And the real question is what will happen when aartjan's shark meets Jim's surfer? Smiley Very Happy

Will the new Mrs. Kring be faced with a somewhat deformed husband?

The answer to the first question is:   Mighty Mouse will come to save the day.

Then the answer to the second question will most certainly be:  No.

Thanks everyone.

Also, sharks generally don't like to eat people.  It is usually a case of mistaken identity.  Since aartjan is probably a very smart shark, he will probably stick to eating marine mammals and fish while avoiding the surfers.

I am too busy trying to change the world with Labview. But one needs to eat sometime..
In reality I have been abalone diving for several years and considered a target myself.

Aart-Jan,

Here is a photo from
abalone diving a few years back.  This trip was up in Mendocino (north of San Francisco)

Here is a photo from my honeymoon in Mexico.  I didn't run into any sharks, but you can see there were other animals to watch out for Smiley Very Happy
