I am looking for the GPIB command syntax for a HP8505 network analyzer

I really just need the commands for controlling the attached RF source as I am not using the network analyzer functions.

That information should be in your instrument's user manual. Look for a chapter that may be called command set, remote operation, or communication. I checked the Agilent website but did not find any references to a 8505 network analyzer.

Since the 8505 was donated to our lab, we don't have this manual. I was just looking for someone who might be able to supply at least some of the commands.

I suggest checking the Agilent website or contact their support. They should at the very least have manuals in PDF format for download on their website.
