I am trying to use the vi server feature and "call by reference" to manipulate controls on a vi running on another pc but when I use the "call by reference node" it has no terminals to match the controls of this vi??

Hi,

A couple of things to check:

1. did you wire the "type specifier VI Refnum" in "Open VI Reference.vi"?

2. If you want to change values of any controls when the VI is running, you should use an invoke node.
