You need to have the same version of the source as the currently running kernel. I don't know why the install script takes exception to the PAE flag, but I think the simplest solution would be to revert to the default version of the kernel. That is if you don't absolutely need the extra functionality. Normally you use PAE to access more RAM than 4 GB on a 32 bit Windows OS, but OpenSUSE already supports 16 GB per defaul so if that is your reason for using it you can just as well use the default kernel.
