Hi,
I am trying to generate sin wave by using NI-PCI 6052E , when setting the value of the amplitude to more than one I get cut signal although the max and min values of the AO channel are set to +/-10 and I am sure that my DAQ card is ok .
I would be glade to get some hints
Many thanks

you probably have custom scaling set up or something. Try running a Test Panel from MAX on the board. From the Test Panel, go to AO, and set the Mode to Sinewave Generation. If it works in max, the board is fine, and you will know its a config issue in the SW

Hi ,thanks for replying
I've done all the possible tests in MAX and saw the same phenomenon ,if the signal amplitude is bigger than 1 I measure in AI channel cut signal on +/- 1.

Hi Fares.
Can you also let us know what you have connected to the 6052E and describe how you are measuring the output? Is the entire signal scaled or are the peaks simply being 'clipped' at 1V?
Just for the sake of being thorough, can you please confirm that you have run this test in MAX using the following steps:
- Open the Test Panels for the device
- Navigate to the Analog Output tab
- Select the proper channel
- Set Max Output Limit to '10'
- Set Min Output Limit to '-10'
- Set Mode to Sinewave Generation
- Leave Transfer Mechanism and Rate as default values
- Change Sinewave Amplitude slider from 1 to 10
- Set desired Frequency
- Press the Start button and note the results
