I get "Unable to locate RTE" when I run an application. I installed the RTE.

I downloaded the 7.1 run time engine and loaded it. When I attempt to open an application I get "Unable to locate the Labview Run Time Engine, requires a version 7.1 or campatible LabView RTE". Any suggestions?

Hey Steve,

Are you installing the RTE separately or with an installer with the .EXE? Have you been able to run this .exe on any machine??...or is this the first machine on which you have tried?

Try building the RTE into the setup package with the installer just for a test. This way should ensure that you are getting the proper RTE for your .exe.
