Actually, I never went away, but I was busy finishing off my novel, Steel Stonehenge.
First, I'd like to say how wonderful it's been to be an active part of the Labview community. My work with Labview was an integral part of my work at Hipas Observatory. Labview was the first program I ever actually used, other than a couple of QBasic programs in the early 1980s! Regretfully, Hipas is, for all practical purposes, mothballed, due to changes in funding within the scientific research community. I have tried to immortalize the wonderful years I had at Hipas Observatory through the pages of Steel Stonehenge. (I am currently trying to market this tome).
In the meantime, an expatriate Hipas engineer and good friend, has founded a little, custom instrument company called Polartronix, and I have recently cast my lot with this promising enterprise, in addition to my literary endeavors. I will chime into this forum as often as I can; and I'm sure with our new enterprise, we'll have some new interesting applications to share.
