Hello,
I am in a wee bit of a problem here, hehe. I was exploring the Tortoise SVN, it installed fine and then I found this video and installed the Viewpoint TSVN Toolkit v1.8.5.45 by Viewpoint Systems, Inc.
Post toolkit install, LabVIEW tried to open up as expected but stopped responding on toolkit's dialog screen. I do not have access to the welcome screen or any VIs.
I gave this several tries but every time I would have to force close the application. Tried system restart, running it as admin and a bit of fooling around with the LabVIEW.ini file with no success.
Now, the problem is that I cannot uninstall it using VIPM 🙂 as it also tried to connect with LabVIEW and then gets stuck on the same screen.
Any suggestion other than fresh install is much appreciated. 🙂

I feel like a Broken Record (thanks, Windows 11 and LabVIEW 2025).
First, I would get in touch with Viewpoint Systems and explain your problem. You can contact them directly from their Web Site (www.viewpointusa.com). When I left Rochester (where they are located) 8 years ago, they were very friendly folks, who hosted the (infrequent) meetings of a LabVIEW User Group. They may know about this problem, and have a "repair" procedure for you.
If you want to "do it yourself", the fastest and safest (possibly the only safe method) is to do the following steps:
Note that a "Repair" operation usually takes much longer, as does a "partial removal" (for example, to uninstall only LabVIEW 2019, for example).
I've been using Tortoise SVN for almost two decades. I recall trying the Viewpoint toolkit, but I only used it briefly. I find Tortoise SVN easy enough to use (I'm a very small "shop") and the Tortoise help sufficient for my needs.

Many thanks Bob_Schor!
I will follow you second suggestions first and then the first as I think your second suggestion will at least get me backup and running quicker.
However, since I will be re-installing anyways, I am really curious to see what will happen if I just delete Viewpoint files from the vi.lib folder. If you think it will not result into a fatal crash or everlasting registry issues, I am more than willing to give that a try. (I would still follow your steps this is just a curiosity)
Do you think it is worth the try 😃?

Just an update:
So I took my chances and deleted that folder. It helped, at least for now.
LabVIEW loaded and this time, it was searching for those deleted files and when it didn't find it, it skipped to normal welcome screen. Next, I opened VIPM and uninstalled the Viewpoint toolkit which looked like a success.
I have not seen any issues so far. I will contact viewpointusa now.

A big "Whew!". However, you do seem to have multiple "versions" (of LabVIEW, possibly of Windows). If you get it working, please come back here and tell us your "success story" so other users of the TSVN toolkit can benefit.

Hi Bob_Schor,
Yes, I have 2014, 2019 and 2025 LabVIEW but I keep them on separate PCs. Mixing all in one never ended well for me.
I will definitely come back here and update if I get it working.
