I miss the "maximum time between logs" - option

Hello,

with LabVIEW DSC 7.0 I could configure my Citadel Database with an option called  "maximum time between logs".
I miss this in LabVIEW DSC 8.2.1.
Where ist it gone?

Thank you
Thomas

This option is obsolete and no longer needed. The older engine required this because the historical trends would not update if the data values did not change, the engine correctly updates all graphs with even when data is not changing. This also decreases the redundant data from being logged to the database, decreasing its total size.

P. S.: We are looking into the database files that you have sent to us today.

BUT:

If I make an archive with a time span of let's say one day or one week and there are traces without change in this time span,
then I don't have a value of these traces in my archive and they just don't appear. They are lost.
I think, that's definitely not satisfying.

Thanks for looking at my Citadel problem, Jochen Klier.

Best Regards

That's a good point. I will verify this behavior and report it to our developers if I find the same issue. As a workaround you could use the Database Writing vis (DSC Module >> Historical >> Database Writing). With these vis you can write data to the database programmatically at a rate that you can define by your own

I hope this helps,

Jochen
