I need to find an insane wire object

I have an error "Insane object at BDHP+42D74 in "Vehicle Simulator.vi": {graphics }(0x80): Wire Segment (WIRE)" I have tried following the advice of moving the file to another machine but that did not fix it. This is a very complex top level vi and so the cut and paste method sounds VERY tedious. The vi will still run fine but I'm afraid that someday this will cause more serious errors or file corruption. Is there some way to identify which wires are causing the problem?

If I don't get an anwser I will have to just start deleting and repairing wires one at a time, I guess.

LabVIEW 6.1 tried on Windows98 and Windows2000 machines.

Hi Dan,

There have been several posts on the LabVIEW Forums for this issue in the past.  The fix involves running an internal LabVIEW utility called "Heap Peak" and finding the object referenced by the insane object error.  Search the forums for "insane" and "wire" and "find".  Here's a sample post that I found by searching:  http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=161637

Good luck,
-D
