I'm currently using report gen. But when the report vi executes the host PC comes to a screeching halt, at a critical point the vi.
Is there a way to take a snap shot of the front panel and print it later?

Why, yes, there is.
Something like that, anyway. It is significantly faster than trying to print the front panel.
It also works for individual elements of the front panel. (This is a bit of a mess, but should provide enough of an example.)
