Vicky,

I went back and re-read my first suggestion where I basically told you now to solve this.  I also suggested that you needed to "do this yourself", and invited you to try it and attach your VI if it didn't work.  So far, this hasn't happened.

So I went back, read what I wrote, and tried doing what I said.  I did forget to say when you wire the False to the outside of the Shift Register (thereby turning it Green), you need to continue the wiring across the While loop to connect to the other Shift Register terminal -- a branch from this wire is what goes to the LED Indicator.

The "Just in case" hint didn't mention the Shift Register Wire -- here's another hint, it plays a role.

This code does work, it is simple, and illustrates a number of points about LabVIEW that you need to understand if you are going to learn anything about this Language.  Please try again, and please attach your VI if it doesn't work -- I can't help you if I don't see where you are making mistakes!
