I want to measure rpm(speed) of an induction machine by using SBRIO-9606 with GPIC 9683. I am getting the pulsed wavform from the encoder which is connected to the induction machine. Would you suggest which pins of NI9683 will be useful.

Depending of the speed of your machine, and the type of the encoder, you may use low/high speed analog input. Use the datasheet of your sensor and datasheet of NI 9683 (datasheet NI9683) to know what pins you must use.
