I have a problem with reading data from the IEEE 1394 firewire host in Labview. The data comes from an TEAC LX120 analyzer. I would like to know if there is any possibility of readling the information from the firewire at the same time that the analyzer is running. I need to read the data in order to see the PSD of the signals. I saw many possibilities for readling data from camares but Is the same procedure? Could I trick labview for realing the firewire as a camera with my analyzer?
Other simple option is if there is any possibility of reading a file that is updating continously (when buffering) for another application. Usually the other application lock the file, but perhaps could be done with labview.
