IMAQ AND LABVIEW Windows

Dear Sir

We have installed IMAQ 3.1 and LabView 7.0 with NI1409 card for our work. For initial imaging we are using IMAQ program and LabView for image processing. But we have to close IMAQ window to run LabView program. Otherwise LabView is not running. Is it possible to keep both the windows to shift one program to other.

Hi Mohan,

When you say, "For initial imaging we are using IMAQ program" do you mean you are using Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? 

If a camera is selected in MAX, it is locked and will be unaccessable to LabVIEW.  You should still be able to open LabVIEW, but you will be unable to access the selected camera due to the lock.  To work around this, you can either 1.stop your MAX acquisition and select another object in MAX (eg Devices and Interfaces) or 2. Close MAX.  If you are not referring to MAX, would you post back with the name of the software you are using for your acquisition.  This information can be found in the Title bar menu under Help >> About.
