IMAQ Display fatal error

I am a bit confused using IMAQ Display (modern) for years.

The thing I try to do is really easy: I put the ROI tool buttons at the top of my IMAQ Display, see attachment zeropercent.png. When arraging it vertically everything is normal, but if I try to align the ROI tool buttons horizontally labview is going crazy.

At first the cpu power boost up to 100 percent, seen in attachment 100percent.png. Intending now to add or remove ROI Tool elements causes Labview to crash with a fatal error, shown in attachment error.png.

I also tried it in Labview 8.5 and the error still persists.

Hey,

I was not able to reproduce this behaviour! Maybe you can post an example so I can test it with your code.

Thanks, Christian

Thank for giving a try. I reinstalled Vision several times, still having the strange behaviour.

The example consist only of an IMAQ Display where I changed the size of the ROI buttons and the arrangement. Switching from vertical to horizontal alignment causes the abnormal reaction.

Just make the ROI tools visible and check your cpu utilization.

Hey,

This is quite interesting, because i can reproduce the behaviour with your VI but if I change the ROI Tools in the same way with a new Image Display on my system I´m not able to see this behaviour!

Did you also changed the size of one individual ROI button on your created IMAQ display?

Yes, I've changed everything in the same matter as you did, so changed sizes of the buttons, visibility and also the allignment, but it works without problems.
Are you running an german LabVIEW? I did the tests with an english version!

Yes, it is a german one and I also tried it on an alternate computer with LV 8.0, receiving the same bug.

Hey!

Sorry for the late response but I'm currently out of office.

Please try to change the country settings under the windows control panel and see if there is the same behaviour. I will be in office again next week and will test it also using a german LabVIEW.

Cheers from Texas
