To do step 1:

Right click the property node then press:

Properties >> History Data

 

To do step 2: 

Right click the property node, then press

Change to Write

 

*Also make sure the property node is pointing to the correct object

Right click the property node, then press: 

'Link to' >> then select your chart

Simply...

  1. right-click the chart terminal and select "create...property node...history data".
  2. right-click the history data and select "change to write?"
  3. right-click it again and "create constant".
