Hardware:
PXIe-6349, PXIe-4302, PXIe-8881
Task/Problem:
I have an application where I need to implement a pause trigger. I have a PXIe-6349 card which I am trying to use to implement the pause trigger. The trigger works with just the PXIe-6349 card; however, when I try to implement the pause trigger with the PXIe-4302 I get an error that the PXIe-4302 doesn't support pause triggers. I thought that the cards would be automatically synchronized through the backplane of the chassis and the PXIe-6349 would take care of the triggering, but that does not seem to be the case. So is there a way that I can implement a pause trigger at all with a PXIe-4302 or am I out of luck with this card? Sorry for my lack of understanding! I am new to synchronization between cards.

Trigger signals are routed through the PXI backplane, but the triggering mechanism is handled by the timing engine onboard of the cards. Not all NI DAQ devices support pause trigger. PXIe-4302 being a SC Express Series does not support pause trigger.
