Indicators and controls will not enlarge or move.

I'm using Labview6.0 and I'm having problem with the indicators and controls. Suddenly, I can not enlarge or move either the indicators or controls. I was able to resize and move the indicators or controls before. Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

You may have set the vi to "Run Mode", make sure the VI is in "Edit Mode" (Operate>>Change to Edit Mode)

You do have the right tool selected, right?

I tried every options in the menu and I couldn't find anything that will fix this problem. Everything works normally except that I can not resize the controls on the front panel and move the indicators in the wire diagram. I uninstall and re-install Labview software and still have the same problem. Anyway, thanks for the help.

The only thing that I can think of is that you are trying to use the "Operate Value" tool (pointing hand) instead of the "Position/Size/Select" tool (arrow). If this is not the problem then I suggest you contact NI directly by phone or email at http://www.ni.com/ask .

Good luck.

One last thing to check is the lock status. Go to Options>Miscellaneous and make sure that "Treat read-only VIs as locked" is not checked. If you are having the problem only with existing VIs and not with new ones, you should also look at the VI Properties under Security and make sure that Locked is not selected.

If VI Properties>>Security>>Locked was selected then selecting "Edit Mode" from the operate menu should prompt to unlock.

You should be able to change the size of the numerical indicators and controls by highlighting the number you wish to change with the "arrow" tool and then changing the font size with application font.
