Instal 7.1.1 on 8196 RT

Hello

I have developped an RT application    onTarget    PXI  8186 controller    on a RACK 1001B

Now my aim is to prepare a spare rack in oder to replace the first rack

I have a rack NI 1042Q and PXI 8196 rt shipped  with LV 8.5 RT

So I would like to install labview RT 7.1.1 on the PXI 8196RT.Is it possible ??

Can I save all the HDD off my 1042 in oder to retrieve the LV 8.5 RT

I have read that you can restore the factory installation, but i don't understand how to do that with a RT target

(no keyboard to press on F4 !!!!)

Hello.

I didn't understand your problem exactly. Would you like to install LV RT 7.1.1 or 8.5 on your 8196 target? Don't you have LV RT installed on your local computer or aren't you able to see LV RT in MAX when you try to install it on your RT target?

I think the best way for you should be to contact directly NI support by phone or by email, and you'll have more detailed informations.
