Install labview

Hello,

We are now tring to install labview to a new computer. There is administrator account on the computer and when I installed labview on this account, there is no problem. And then we need an "tester" account, even if I set the "tester" to be administrator, when I tried to run labview on this tester account, the computer crashed. What is the problem? labview is 7.1 and OPS is Windows XP Professional.

Thanks in advance,

Is this due to previlege? or some other reasons?

If it were a priviledges error, you should get an error message, not a crash. Were there any error messages that you got either when it crashed or when you restarted? Is it crashing when you try to open LabVIEW after logging off as the administrator and logging on as the tester? Does it happen everytime and do you have the same problem on other computers? Is there any other info you can give?

There is no error message, every time I tried to run labview, it crashed. But if I unplug the DAQ-PAD, then plug it again, there is no crash and it happened only on a laptop.

Hi pucca:

Is the crash no longer happening now that you unplugged the DAQPad? Can you run LabVIEW with the DAQPad plugged in?

Thank you,

If I unplug the Daqpad every time I restart the computer and plug it in again when the computer is on, then there is no crash, if I restart the computer without unplugging the Daqpad, it crashes once I run Labview. The Daqpad is using USB connection, this shouldn't be happening.

I have a series of questions that might help us narrow down the issue:

1.What version of the DAQ driver do you have and which DaqPad are you using?

2.Is this only happening on the one computer? Have you tried it on other laptops?

3.If you plug something else into that USB slot (keyboard, mouse, etc.), do things seem to work fine?

4.Have you tried it on another USB slot, if one is available on that computer?
