Hello,
I once had a problem with the known problem of booting Windows after installing Labview.
I could solve this by using a patch from the NI Website.
Now I created a vi and made a exe file out of that. I also wanted to make a installation file, that installs my software and also the runtime ( 2012 ) for Labview.
This works very good on some machines and on some I receive the same problem.
The computer I installed it on is not booting and staying in "please wait" during booting.
Is there any chance that I can avoid this? Is it possible to solve this by using the application builder?
Many thanks in advance!
Hey,
I think the "patch from the NI website" is this one:
Why Does My Computer Encounter Black Screens or Long Boot Times After Installing NI Software? - National Instruments

This problem occures only with a Windows PC which is a member of a domain.
The LabVIEW Application Builder offers a option to call something after the installer has installed you LabVIEW Application.
Select the "Advanced" category in the Build Specifications of the installer and use the "Run executable at the end of installation" option to run the batchfile at the end of installation. This is the only workaround which I could imagine.
