Thanks for this solution. I ran into the same problem as ambarr, and looking through the install logs it was due to the installer trying to install the GPIB and VISA drivers, but the drivers not being included in the installer package. For reference, I got my installer package from Studica (student version for OS X). This might be a global problem with the installer package provided by studica.com being set to install those drivers but not including them, so you might want to address it with them.
