Installing LabView 8.5

I've bought LabView 8.5,  with the right to install in three machines.   I installed and activated only in one pc last month and now i need to change the 40 GB HD where this copy is installed to one 160 GB .   When i installed,  i received a activation code and i used.  The question is:  may i use the same activation code that i used to install in the 40 GB HD when i install in the new HD?      The right to install in three machines means that i will have only three activation codes?  If i make this HD upgrade,  the new installation will be considered as a second machine installation and i will have the right to install in one more machine in the future?

  I need help .
  Thanks to all

Hi Rufus,

I can't guarantee that you could use the exact same activation code now that you have a new hard drive in the PC. It would depend on whether or not the HD's serial number is used to generate PC identification code.

In any case, I would attempt to use the same activation code first. If that doesn't work, then just get another one.

Although the licensing scheme is a little different with newer versions of LabVIEW, I don't think NI wants to impede legitimate customers from using it. So far we've not had any problems licensing LabVIEW or any of the various toolkits we've had to activate several times and in some cases on several machines.
